The 3 kinds of NYE content you’ll see

After many of us took some time off for Christmas and New Year’s, today is the first day back for almost everyone lucky enough to not work in hospitality, retail, or emergency sectors.
Social media is the world’s favourite procrastination tool, and today – particularly on LinkedIn – you’ll spot 3 types of posts dominating your feed…
1. Celebration photos!

Whether copied from Google or a nice stock image from Canva, these are bound to be everywhere today! How you could do a little better, without much effort?
- Add your logo, or find a picture that fits with your brand colours.
- Use a personal image from something you went to or did.
- A little more extravagant, but why not get a snap of your recycling bin to show just how many bottles you got through partying hard?
2. Back at work in uniform selfies

Always dripping with a least a slightly exaggerated level of enthusiasm, people are keen to give you a glimpse of themselves, having showered and shaved potentially for the first time in days, BACK AT IT HARD!
Be warned – these are positive and motivating in intention for sure… but can be a bit of a drain on your mental health if you are actually lacking energy and not “feeling it” today.
3. Quotes to inspire

Loads of people swear by affirmations, visualisation, surrounding yourself with “I CAN DO THIS” messages followed by a picture of Steve Jobs or Hulk Hogan (are they the same person? I’ve never seen them together…)
Again, if your main feeling at work this week is actually, “Wake me up with January ends… Then knock me out again and wake me up in May” then chuck a spoonful of salt on these posts and accept that the person only meant well.
